Fortune Global 500 is an annual ranking of the world’s largest corporations worldwide as measured by revenue. It is published by Fortune Magazine, a multinational business magazine owned by Time Inc. based in New York City.
BAIC or Beijing Automotive Group, one of the largest Chinese automakers, became a newcomer on 2013’s Fortune Global 500. With revenue at $33.4 million in 2012, BAIC ranked 336 on the overall list.
After a year, BAIC Group’s revenue totalled $43.3 million, marking a significant revenue growth rate of 29.8% that showed BAIC’s global competitiveness and was among the top 300 companies. The company improved its ranking by 88 places that made BAIC’s rank from 336th to 248th for 2014.
The 2015 issue of Fortune Global 500 placed Beijing Automotive Group or BAIC Group at 207th thanks to its revenues of $51 million last year. This is BAIC’s third appearance on the annual list and was up 41 places compared to last year’s list.
Once again, BAIC made it to the list and improved from 207th to 160th among 500 companies. According to Fortune Global 500, BAIC’s revenue was $54.9 million making BAIC move up to 47 places from last year and making it to the top 200 for the first time.

As of November 2015, BAIC Philippines have 8 dealers in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. In Luzon, the dealers are located in Makati, Abad Santos Manila and Malolos, Bulacan. As for the Visayas region, they are located in Bacolod, Ilo-Ilo, Lapu-Lapu Cebu and Tacloban. In Mindanao, it’s located in Zamboanga.
